Young companies need capital to develop their product or service.  At the Boulder Innovation Center, we balance the financial needs of the firm with the long-term goals of the management team when developing a financing strategy for one of our clients.  This strategy could be a mix of equity capital, internal funds, debt and grant funding.

Angels
The Boulder Innovation Center maintains an informal network of investors interested in opportunities emerging from the University of Colorado, the Colorado School of Mines and pre-screened, local early stage companies.
 
Our Angels contribute more than their financial resources, often it is their experience that proves to be the most valuable.  The Boulder Innovation Center provides Angels with the opportunity; to help clients prepare for fund raising and refine their story, to join the team in a key management position and to provide commercialization advice to early stage technologies emerging from the University setting.  Please see our Advising page for more information.

Companies
The Boulder Innovation Center has developed a pitch prep process to prepare you and firm for outside capital and the capital raising process.  It starts with you and the goals you have for the firm.  We’ll provide honest feedback around your chances of locating capital and discuss what we believe to be your available options.
